CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

CALEB: Black-American male in his late 20’s – early 30’s.  On paper, Caleb is the kind of man every woman dreams about their entire lives. Tall, dark, sexy as hell, a smile that makes your heart melt, with brains and a fat wallet to match.  He’s an entrepreneur that is trying to pick up the pieces of his life after his engagement brutally fell apart.  Must be able to sing. Piano or guitar a plus. LEAD ROLE.

KWAME: Black-American male in his late 20’s – early 30’s. Bi-sexual.  He is Jewel’s best friend in the whole wide world and business partner. He is extremely fun, and over the top.  Even though Kwame has effeminate tendencies, he is not flamboyant. He is a perfect balance of feminine and masculine energy. Kwame is secretly in love with Jewel but fears she will reject him because of his sexuality. He is supportive and invested in everything Jewel is trying to build. SUPPORTING ROLE.

JOSIAH: Black-American male in his late 20’s – early 30’s.  Josiah is Caleb’s best friend and business partner at their start-up company. If Caleb is the brainchild behind their operation, Josiah is its flashy gold-plated mouthpiece.  A lady’s man and the comic relief. Painfully blunt yet maintains this subtle charm about him.  SUPPORTING ROLE.

KIMMI:  Any ethnicity – early 30’s that is recently divorced. She is beautiful and is the most down to earth chick you’ll ever meet.  Born in the Bronx and comes from a huge family. As a result, she can be extremely loud at times when she gets around Jewel and Kwame, only because she’s used to having to scream to be heard around her family. It can be a little jarring at times, because looking at her, you would never think she had such a big mouth.  Hip, fun, and being the oldest in her family, she has a tough time asking for help, even when she is in desperate need of it. SUPPORTING ROLE.

ZEKE: Black-American male in his late 20’s – early 30’s.  Best friends with Caleb and Josiah, Zeke is the only one out of his boys that’s married with kids. He’s an extremely smart dude with a city job. Nerdy, sensible, and super laidback. He enjoys turning it up with his boys on the weekend but being curled up on the couch with his woman, binge-watching a whole bunch of chick flicks on Netflix, does it for him too.  Caleb likes to call him “the Rev” since he has a habit of “preaching to the choir” –the choir being Caleb.  Grounded, balanced and a man of faith. SUPPORTING ROLE.

SYNOPSIS:  It has been written in the stars that our main characters – Jewel and Caleb – are destined to spend the rest of their lives together, but it is up to them to find one another. This series shares their parallel journey leading up to their fateful meeting.

Thank you so much for your time! Now let’s make visual magic!

I’m so excited to see this project come to fruition! As a black young woman who is trying to break into the entertainment industry it’s always encouraging to see tv shows and movies like this. I’ll be praying for your success! Also where can I find Jewel’s character breakdown?
